What is a Greek Salad???

Ok, I'm not picking on Mellow Mushroom but I have had this same experience many times here in Charlotte.  Yesterday, I ordered a Greek Salad at the Mellow Mushroom in Ballentyne Village and the waitress asked what dressing I wanted on it.  I replied Greek Dressing of course.  She said we don't have Greek Dressing but you can have Ranch. Blue Cheese or Vinaigrette.

I said "Why do you call it a Greek Salad if you don't have Greek Dressing"  I got this big "DUH? look as if I'd asked who was buried in Grant's Tomb.

Seriously, if I ordered Caesar Salad and the waitress said they didn't have Caesar Dressing wouldn't that be foolish???

The only reasons you would not have Greek Dressing for a Greek Salad is if 1 - the chef only had the skills of a McDonald's frycook, 2 - the chef is too stupid to look up the recipe and follow directions or 3 - the chef is too lazy to check off the Greek Dressing box on his Sysco or US Foods order blank.

Well Mellow Mushroom which reason is it???
